WHAT CAN LEAD TO CHANGES IN A SCHEDULE OR BUDGET?

Design decisions can stop a project in its tracks.  The weather can put a project on hold.  As 2020 has taught everyone, a pandemic can stop a project.  Change Orders can also add to the schedule and budget.  The vast majority of projects have change orders.  Change Orders can occur when an unforeseen item is discovered (termite damage, dryrot, atypical framing).  They also occur if there is a change to an item while the project is underway.  This could be as simple as adding some lights or as complex as adding a guest house.
